Clearer, more even skin from a treatment matched to how much downtime you can actually take. Chemical peels at our Lake Nona med spa, serving Orlando and the surrounding area.
Most people arrive with one of two pictures in their head. Either a peel is a gentle facial that does very little, or it is the thing that leaves you hiding indoors for a week. Both exist, and so does everything in between.
That range is the whole point. The right peel is the one matched to what is bothering you and to how much visible peeling your life can absorb over the next few days. Getting that match right matters more than the strength of the solution.
A medical-grade solution is applied to the skin and left on for a controlled length of time. It loosens the bonds holding dull, damaged cells at the surface so that layer lifts away and the skin underneath takes over.
How deep that goes is the variable. A light peel works on the outermost layer and leaves most people with nothing more than a few days of flaking. Stronger formulations reach further and ask more of your calendar in return.
We carry a range rather than a single option, including the Matrix Peel, and the choice is made at your consultation once someone has looked at your skin and heard what you are trying to change.
Sun damage, melasma and the brown marks left behind after a breakout. Pigment is one of the concerns peels handle best.
Active congestion and the discoloration that outlasts it. Lighter peels can be repeated on a schedule for this.
Roughness and a dull surface that makeup sits badly on. This is the concern that tends to improve first.
The soft early lines around the eyes and mouth. Peels soften how they read rather than removing them.
Skin that has stopped catching the light. Often the reason people book a peel before an event.
Several of these overlap, and the peel that suits one may be wrong for another. That is what the consultation sorts out.
A peel that is too strong is a problem. A peel that is too weak is a waste of a visit. Matching it is the part that takes judgement.
We ask what your next two weeks look like before we choose. A peel booked three days before a wedding is a different peel from one booked in January.
For a first peel we would rather begin lighter and build than push hard on skin we have not treated before. You can always go deeper next time. You cannot undo the other direction.
Some concerns respond better to a laser or to microneedling than to a peel. If that is true for you, we will say so rather than sell you the thing you asked for.
Treatments at our studio are performed by licensed professionals. You can read more about our team on Marcela Mayorga’s page and Dr. Manuel Colon Mendez’s page before you book.
Four steps, start to finish. The treatment itself is shorter than most people expect.
We look at your skin, ask what you are trying to change, and ask what the next two weeks look like for you. Both answers shape the choice.
Skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased so the solution works evenly. Uneven prep is what produces uneven results.
The solution goes on and stays on for a controlled length of time while we watch how your skin responds. Expect tingling or warmth rather than pain.
Whether you flake visibly depends on the peel. You leave with instructions written for the peel you actually had, not a generic handout.
Looking for something specific? The Matrix Peel is one of the options we carry, and we will tell you at the consultation whether it fits what you are after.
What you pay tracks the strength of the peel and how many you need. A light peel repeated on a schedule and a single deeper treatment sit at different points, and neither is automatically the better value for your skin.
Pigment and acne marks usually want a series. Pre-event brightening usually does not. We quote you at the consultation, once we know which of those you are.
We are on Moss Park Road in Lake Nona, minutes from Medical City and an easy drive from across Orlando. Small, quiet, and unhurried on purpose.

It depends on the peel. Some produce visible peeling for several days; others work below the surface with little more than light flaking. We tell you which you are getting before you commit to it.
Some peels show a difference after one. Deeper concerns such as pigment or acne marks are usually treated as a series of three to six, spaced out over a few months. We give you the number at the consultation.
Usually you will want to wait 24 to 48 hours, depending on the intensity of the peel. Your aftercare instructions will be specific to what you had done.
Most people describe tingling, warmth or a stinging that builds and then settles. Stronger peels feel more than lighter ones. We stay with you through it and we stop if you need us to.
Peels can be used across a wide range of skin tones, but the choice of solution and strength matters more, not less, on deeper skin. This is exactly why we assess in person rather than booking a peel off a menu.
After a light peel, the same day. After something stronger, plan for a few days of visible flaking. Tell us your calendar before we choose and we will work around it.
Generally retinoids, exfoliating acids and anything abrasive for several days beforehand, and no waxing or laser hair removal on the area. You will get the exact list when you book.
A peel works chemically on the surface layers. Microneedling works mechanically and reaches deeper. They address texture at different levels and are often used in sequence rather than instead of one another.
Comparing options? Our blog covers how often to schedule peels, fillers and microneedling.
Peels work at the surface. These treatments come at the same concerns from a different depth, and often run alongside them.
Come in, let us look at your skin, and leave with a straight answer about which peel suits it and how much downtime to expect.
You leave with a clear plan whether or not you book a thing.
Your treatment is performed by a licensed professional, not a technician trained over a weekend.
