Soft, filled-in brows that are already done when you wake up. Powder and ombre brows at our Lake Nona med spa, serving Orlando and the surrounding area.
Pencil, then powder, then the bit where you step back and realise one is higher than the other. Then the gym, or the pool, or a long day, and by the afternoon they have quietly disappeared again.
The appeal of powder brows is simple: the shape is decided once, carefully, by someone looking at your actual face, and then it is just there. No morning negotiation, no reapplying at lunchtime.
Both are semi-permanent makeup techniques. Fine dots of pigment are worked into the skin to build a soft, shaded finish, closer to the look of brows filled in with powder than to a drawn-on line.
Ombre is the same technique with a deliberate gradient: lighter and softer at the front of the brow, deeper through the arch and tail. Which of the two suits you depends on your face and on how strong you want the finish to read.
The shape is mapped and agreed with you before any pigment goes in, and it is built around your face rather than around a trend. You see the outline and approve it first.
Years of tweezing that never quite grew back. Shading fills the gaps without trying to imitate individual hairs.
One brow sitting higher or reading shorter than the other. Mapping the shape first is what addresses this.
Powder and ombre techniques tend to suit oily skin better than hair-stroke techniques, which can blur on it over time.
Swimming, the gym, humidity, long shifts. If your makeup does not survive your day, this is the appeal.
The most common reason people book. Not a dramatic change, just ten minutes back every morning.
Not sure whether powder or ombre suits your face better? That is decided at the consultation, in person, before anything is booked.
Everyone has seen brows that went too dark or too sharp. Avoiding that is mostly about decisions made before the first pass.
We draw the outline on your face and you look at it in a mirror before any pigment goes in. Nothing starts until you are happy with what you are seeing.
Colour can always be built at the touch-up. Going softer first is the safer direction, and it is the one we take by default.
If your skin or your goal would be better served by another technique, or by nothing at all, we will say so rather than book you in.
Treatments at our studio are performed by licensed professionals. You can read more about our team on Marcela Mayorga’s page and Dr. Manuel Colon Mendez’s page before you book.
Four steps, start to finish, plus a touch-up visit once everything has healed.
We talk about the finish you want, then map the shape on your face and hand you a mirror. This part takes longer than people expect, on purpose.
A topical numbing cream is applied and given time to work. Most people describe the session afterward as mild rather than painful.
Pigment is worked in gradually to build the soft, powdered finish. We check in with you as the depth builds rather than at the end.
Expect some light scabbing and fading as it heals, which is normal. A touch-up once healing has finished settles the final shape and colour.
Aftercare matters more with this treatment than with most. You leave with written instructions specific to what we did, not a general handout.
Semi-permanent makeup is quoted as a package rather than as a single appointment, because the initial session and the healed touch-up are two halves of the same result. Anyone quoting you only for the first visit is not quoting the whole job.
Beyond that, the variables are how much work the shape needs and how often you want to refresh it over the following years. We give you the full number at the consultation.
We are on Moss Park Road in Lake Nona, minutes from Medical City and an easy drive from across Orlando. Small, quiet, and unhurried on purpose.

Typically one to two years, with touch-ups to keep the shape and colour where you want them. Skin type and sun exposure both affect how quickly the colour softens.
Discomfort is minimal for most people. A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand and given time to work. Tell us if you are sensitive and we will take it slower.
Mild scabbing and some fading during healing are normal and expected. Brows often look darker before they settle. You receive detailed aftercare instructions, and following them closely makes a real difference.
Same technique, different finish. Powder brows are shaded evenly throughout. Ombre brows are deliberately lighter at the front and deeper through the arch and tail. We recommend one or the other after seeing your face.
They should read as brows you filled in, not as brows that were drawn on. That depends almost entirely on the shape being mapped properly and the colour being built up gradually rather than pushed in one pass.
Yes. A touch-up after healing is part of the treatment rather than an upsell. It is where the final shape and colour are settled, once we can see how your skin held the pigment.
Of course. Plenty of people still add a little product for a stronger look on occasion. The point is that you no longer have to.
Microblading creates fine individual strokes to mimic hairs. Powder and ombre build a soft shaded finish instead, which tends to hold up better on oily skin. We will tell you which suits yours.
Thinking about other semi-permanent makeup at the same time? We also offer eyeliner and FoxyLiner and Lush Lip.
Semi-permanent makeup tends to be booked as a set rather than one at a time. These are the two people ask about next.
Come in, let us map a shape on your face, and see it in the mirror before you decide anything.
You leave with a clear plan whether or not you book a thing.
Your treatment is performed by a licensed professional, not a technician trained over a weekend.
